In a Child-Centered Curriculum children take command of their own learning. Teachers are there to provide support and facilitate the child's learning but children determine the direction of their own learning following their natural curiosities interests and passions. Teachers provide appropriate materials and create projects to support children in developing skills in social, emotional, cognitive and physical domains. 

​In this model, children co-create their learning objectives and goals with the teachers. Because children are empowered to have an active role, they become emotionally invested in the learning process. They are more willing to explore the education in-depth and reach deeper levels of understanding.
